About the Event

The workshop objectives are:

  • To identify and contextualise priority issues concerning trade and gender in a post-COVID-19 recovery period in Belize;

  • To propose tools to mainstream social inclusion and gender equality into new trade rules, taking into consideration precedents in the WTO and bilateral trade agreements.

  • To initiate networking between representatives of gender and trade sectors, with the aim of identifying intersecting issues and ways to further mainstream gender into trade policy.
